Job Title Head of QC Virology in Central QC
Description - Lead the virology Quality Control service with a team of 4-6 supervisors and 30-40 laboratory technicians to perform testing in order to release intermediates and vaccines.
- Lead the Virology Quality Control service composed by 5 QC release laboratories, prioritize activities and interact efficiently with internal and external partners for delivering all objectives on time and with quality required to Supply Chain customers (Belgium and other sites), in line with GSK Vaccines priorities.
- QC release and stability of intermediates and vaccines.
- Provide the laboratory support to establishment and validation of Biological material for Vaccines.
- Ensure the provision of a timely, efficient, cost efficient and comprehensive Quality Control service to both commercial and non-commercial customers, which are in compliance with both GSK Vaccines policies and standards, and those of external regulatory agencies and bodies for a sub set of testing.
- Improve, implement and assure quality management within his /her QC commercial service.
- Participate to the optimization of the QC commercial Operations processes for his /her service through identification and development of the best technological solutions and lean management processes.
- Support the development of junior staff in the QC commercial operations
- Be proactive in anticipating potential improvements of the current quality processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management Procedures for his /her service.
- Ensure the flexibility of manpower workforce in order to achieve customer satisfaction and cost targets in the short, medium terms in managing downsizings and / or headcount increases for his /her service
- Work collaboratively with the quality systems group to realize synergies and consistency of approach.
- Provide global QC support to international sites by sharing expertise, best practices and timely analyses
