Presentation An enthusiastic, motivated individual with an excellent academic and professional background. I believe my strengths are my capacity for innovation in work and a passion for achieving excellence by taking result oriented initiatives. I am working on something very interesting which is developing a novel online cell viability and apoptosis counting device. Through my professional and academic experience I have equipped myself with some advanced tools and developed my analytical and research capabilities.

My post graduate research project on the ‘Encapsulation of Chondrocyte Cell’ gave me experience of Mammalian Cell Culture and Microencapsulation of Single Cell. The project gave me valuable in-sight and hands-on experience of the preparation of working cell banks (WCB) and maintaining aseptic conditions. I have also acquired sound knowledge of Statistical Data Analysis and principles of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) through this project work. The successful completion of this project has helped me strengthen my time management, organizational and problem solving skills.

During my M.Sc Engineering Design Project, I led a five-member team for the detailed design of the production facility for the latest anti-cancer biopharmaceutical drug for Prostate Cancer. This involved all important aspects of commercial production from Market Research to detailed P & I diagrams. My individual responsibilities were the Design of Bioreactor and Cross Flow - Micro filter. A module on fermentation practical involved the batch culture of stain of S.cerevisiae and E.coli, which provided me with an experience of using the pilot scale fermenter, while controlling, monitoring and analyzing viability through cell counts and spectrophotometer. My course allowed me to learn and operate Flow Cytometer, Nucleo Counter, Mass Spectrometer, Centrifuge, Freeze Dryer and Gas Chromatography.

During my professional experience, I was awarded the “Emerging Employee of the Year 03-04”at Caryaire Equipments India Pvt. Ltd.. My experience as a Sales Engineer allowed me to develop skills such as market research and analysis, to develop customer base by providing customers with necessary technical and commercial information within customer defined deadlines, business development and making effective presentations on the newly launched products. My present work involves cell culturing, flow cytometry, designing the protocols, specifications and control sequence for automated sampling and sample injection, selection of appropriate dyes to perform assay depending on FRET, interfacing the instrument with bioreactor and operate them in batch as well as fed batch mode.

I believe that I am a creative person and often think in a contemplative way about various issues of practical importance. Being able to identify patterns and relationships that are not obvious to others is perhaps my greatest strength. This will prove very valuable because an integral part of being a researcher is to perceive the balance between theory and practice, analytical rigor and intuition. My communication skills are good and I like expressing ideas and concepts both in verbal and written form - an ideal platform for the dissemination of knowledge in my chosen field of specialization.
